【摘要】:ThisdocumentestablishestheXMLencodingofthemethodofthePublicTransportInformationapplication.ThePublicTransportInformationApplicationisintendedtocoverallmodesofpublic(iecollective)transportBaswellasnter-urbanandintra-urbantravel.Theapplicationitselfisdesignedtoallowtheefficientandlanguageindependenttransmissionofpublictransportinformationeitherdirectlytoanend-user,beitthepublicoranotherserviceprovider,suchasbroadcasters,serviceoperatorsorotherinformationdisseminatingpointsorcentresforonwardtransmission.TPEG-PTIaimsatdescribing"legs"ofajourneyalsodescribedas"rides"byothermethodologies.However,itisimportanttonotethatTPEG-PTIisnotlimitedtodescribingsingleservices,becauseitalsoallowsthemoregeneraldescriptionofroute,serviceandareawideproblems.Public(orcollective)transportinformationisusuallyconsumedinoneoffourprincipleways,andinTPEG-PTIthesearelabelledviews,theyaresomewhatananalogueto:--Leaderboardinformationasusedatstationsorterminals--Areportonthestateofanetwork--Thedescriptionofanindividualservice--AsanewsflashreportWhiletheelementsneededtoproduceinformationforanyoneofthesefour"views"arelargelygermaneacrossthepresentations,theend-userfocusofTPEGapplicationsisseenasusefultobeabletomimicpresentations,towhichend-usersareaccustomed.TPEG-PTIviewsareintendedtopresentinformationtoend-usersinawaythattheyareaccustomed.TPEG-PTImessagescanthereforegroupdataelementstopresentoneofthefollowingviews:--IncidentReportView--Station/TerminalView--RouteView--IndividualServiceViewItisimportanttobearinmindthatthese"views"aremerelypresentationalaides;theyhavelittletodowiththecontentintheindividualdataelements.Theydo,however,indicatehowdataelementsmustbegroupedifapresentationinanyoftheseviewsisintended.UnliketheTPEG-RTMapplication,TPEG-PTIbenefitsfromthenodalstructureofpublictransport,makinguseofitsdiscretestart,endandstoppingpointsaswellasbeinglimitedtofixed,beitrealorvirtual,routes.Itisvital,forfurtherunderstandingofthisdocument,tohavemorethanapassingunderstandingoftheTPEG-PTIBinaryspecificationwhichdescribes,amongotherthings,inastep-bystepapproach:MessageManagement,ReportviewsandhowtheyarestructuredhierarchicallytoprovideafurlPublicTransportInformationmessagetogetherwiththeTPEGLocationReferencingsystem.
